The Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic London – who should attend?
The Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic London is dedicated to the provision of evidence-
based high-quality care to women who have suffered from two or more miscarriages.
 

Issues to consider ahead of your appointment:
You may come alone or bring your partner or a relative along.
There are no specific preparations required, but you might wish to consider the
following:
Write down questions you might wish to ask so that you do not forget
Bring with you any medication you are currently taking
Some of the questions you will be asked during the consultation include your general
health, the medication you are currently taking, any allergies, any operations or major illnesses you have had in the past: so please think about these things.
 

In addition, please bring the following:
Your full address and telephone number(s)
Your GP’s name and address, and any referral letter
 

During your appointment
Your first consultation will last 45-60 minutes.
At the first consultation a detailed history will be taken. A physical examination may
be undertaken if necessary (a chaperone will be present for all physical
examinations). Investigations will be arranged, and these will usually include an
internal ultrasound scan and blood tests.
There will be plenty of time for you to ask any questions.
 

After your appointment
Treatment, tailored to your specific presentation, will be planned. Results of some
investigations may be required before commencing treatment. Follow-up
appointments are usually required, either to plan and/or commence treatment if

results of investigations are required, or to review the impact of any treatments
started.
Follow up appointments usually last 20-30 minutes.
